We are officially two weeks away from Christmas Day! To be honest with you, I’m not the most festive person you’ll ever meet… but I do enjoy fairy lights, Christmassy food, and spending time with my favourite people 🥰
This year has been about finding ways to reduce pressure on myself and keep a sustainable work/life balance. I’m still finding my feet with how to use Substack going forwards. Currently, I’m heading towards a week off work, and last night I was relaxing on my orange sofa reading through Laura Jane Williams latest post:

Honesty - I have a new found appreciation for straight forward honesty, it complements my value of authenticity well too 💜
A “good” box - sitting with my daughter each evening, we both write 3 good things from the day onto pink post-it notes and pop it in the box. 🥰
Naming it - whether it’s in the therapy room or elsewhere, naming what’s happening can be so helpful
Kate Winslet - I’ve enjoyed listening to her on podcasts recently and seeing her naturally aging face at the premiere of her new film was refreshing!
Mince pies - warmed up in the microwave, single cream - yum! 😋
Learning lessons - it can be tough, but it’s worth it on the other side!
Phoning - I’ve phoned one of my friends every week for the past few weeks and it’s been lovely to connect and hear their voice instead of only reading their texts 📱
Trusting the process - witnessing EMDR in action everyday, trusting the distress will reduce and there’s a new perspective on its merry way 🤗
Neom diffuser - I bought a new scent this week called “Great Day” - it’s like sitting in a spa! 🫧
Isabel Klee on TikTok - I can take or leave dogs (they make me sneeze), but I tune in regularly to see how Isabel’s latest foster dogs are getting on. Her newest dog, Zero, had a well-needed bath yesterday followed by a nap covered in a blanket! So sweet 🐕
Permission slips - here is a huge permission slip for you to celebrate yourself! You’re the best version of you to exist in the universe 🌙
Voice notes - need I say more 🎵
Sia - her Christmas songs are sublime, anyone else love a bit of Ho Ho Ho? 🎄
