Hello everyone!
I’m very excited to introduce my new monthly interview series: Past to Possibility.
As a psychotherapist, I explore the relationship between the past and the present on a regular basis. It really fascinates me, especially the concept of your experiences as a baby or young child having a profound impact on you as an adult.
In my 1:1 work, where I often use Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), I invite my clients to share their current struggles, and then we do 2 things:
We look back to see if there is an event from the past that links with this struggle
We look forward to think about what their future could look like without this struggle
The formulation of their past, present, and future shapes our work together.
I’m a naturally curious person, and I wondered how I could bring this past-present-future relationship to life, in a safe, contained way, that would be interesting and meaningful to you, the lovely readers of my publication!
💡Past to Possibility came to me…
I am going to interview creative, reflective women aged 30+ from Substack and explore the powerful connection between their past experiences, how those experiences have shaped their present, and how they’re influencing the possibilities for their future.
Through a series of reflective questions, we’ll hear from them about one significant moment from their life that sparked personal growth, how it influenced their mindset and actions, and how those insights continue to impact them today.
If you are interested in being interviewed, I’d love to hear from you:
Stay tuned!
I’m really excited for this 🤩
What a great idea!
This series looks very interesting!
